This year I choose “happy people.”
Happy people don’t use others for selfish pleasure, profit,
or power.
Happy people don’t forbid family members to visit one another
over a difference of opinion.
Happy people don’t physically hurt others or try to control
them; instead, they try to provide safety.
Happy people don’t seduce or lie to get what they want.
Happy people don’t steal.
Happy people respect others’ privacy.
Happy people don’t complain constantly.
Happy people give more than they take because it spills over
from a heart full of unconditional love.
Happy people work to make the world a safer place for
children to live.
Happy people listen to children and acknowledge their
importance in making the world better.
This year, I choose to be a happy person and associate with
happy people who are thankful to be alive.
